In the diagram above you will find a comparison of the water jet pressure of the SoWash system (“water jet” tip) with those of electric oral irrigators; considering the use of SoWash with a faucet water pressure (ex. between 2.5 and 3.5 bar) usually found in home water systems, the pressure of the SoWash water jet (blue area) is completely in range with the water jet pressure of the most common electric oral irrigators.
In the case that you desire a lower water jet pressure, with SoWash it is possible just by adjusting the faucet flow.

- The values of the water jet pressure are indicated in grams;
- The units are approximate and have a tolerance of +/- 15%
- The electric oral irrigators tested do not all have the same number of adjustments (ranging from 3 to 10): the circular shaped indicators on the graph indicate the detected value of each adjustment;
- For the SoWash design it took into consideration its use with faucet water pressure of 2.5 to 3.5 bar seeing as it corresponds to the minimum and maximum water pressures typically found in domestic water systems. A pressure of 2 bar represents an unlikely condition but it has been included in order to illustrate the effectiveness of SoWash even with minimum pressures.
- The growth curves of SoWash are indicative graphic illustrations seeing as they may vary depending on the water faucet model and opening; the final value indicates the maximum output of the water jet when the faucet is fully open.

In the diagram above you will find a comparison of the water jet pressure of various SoWash tips.
The diagram illustrates how the pressure of the “irrigator” tip is more suitable for sensitive gums, while the “water jet” and “spray” tip sare for those who prefer a more thorough cleaning.
The spray tip has a more open/wider water jet so that the pressure may be applied onto a wider surface compared to the water jet tip which has a more subtle and precise water jet, also particularly suitable for orthodontic implants, bridges or braces.

HI FLOW SYSTEM
Several SoWash models come with the innovative “Hi-Flow” system that will allow you to turn on/off the water flow control valve so that you can fully use the water pressure on your faucet whenever necessary (see the section “Shop” to check which package comes with the “Hi-Flow” system).
The “Hi-Flow” system will affect the outgoing water flow of faucets with a water pressure equal to or greater than 2 bar.
By activating the “Hi-Flow” system there is an immediate increase in the water jet pressure as shown in the graph below. If you prefer a more delicate water jet, simply turn off the “Hi-Flow” system.

SOWASH TRAVELLING
Thanks to the quick universal adapter„Addy” (International patent pending) you can connect SoWash to the tap in a quick and easy way, without removing the aerator or worrying about the type of tap tread.
The „Addy” adapter allows you to comfortably use SoWash while travelling (at hotels, camping, boats, etc…) o with non-standard tap treads.
Thanks to the „Addy” adapter you can always carry SoWash with you, to maintain a correct oral hygiene even while travelling.
Using „Addy” is very simple: just mount it to the tap, without removing the aerator, and in just few seconds you can connect and use SoWash.
The „Addy” adapter is an accessory (included in the “Travel” or “Deluxe” packages) and can be purchased in the Shop section.
SOWASH HOW TO USE
Using SoWash is really fast and easy:
1) Unscrew the filter of your tap;
2) Screw the SoWash aerator filter;
3) Hook the connector of SoWash to the tap and use the hydro-pulser.
The installation of SoWash filter must be done only the first time you use SoWash: the SoWash filter allows the normal use of the tap ensuring aeration and water filtration.
CONNECTION SYSTEM
The SoWash system can be connected to the tap via a special bayonet mount which guarantees a stable and easy connection.
To connect SoWash , it is necessary to substitute (only the first time) the filter of your own tap with the one provided in the SoWash package. The SoWash filter has 4 grains inside it, which allow the connection of the white connector of the SoWash system.

FILTER FOR TAP
The SoWash aerator filter can be connected directly and easily to the home tap, without using any tools. It replaces the old aerator filter, ensuring both the normal use of the tap and the use of the SoWash system. The SoWash filter is adaptable to all taps with screwable aerator filter (According to CEN EN 246). This standard is respected by all the taps with screwable filter present on the market. Before purchasing SoWash system, we suggest to verify that your tap has got a standard screwable filter. The SoWash filter is supplied in all the SoWash packages. It is possible to purchase as accessories additional filters, with adapter or in metal, to allow the connection of the same SoWash system to several taps ( second bath, office, second home…). |

CONNECTOR AND SAFETY VALVE The special SoWash connector has a safety valve which is the result of extensive research and technological innovation (Italian Patent). The valve checks automatically the possible change in water pressure, flowing down directly into the sink the exceeding water pressure. During the use of SoWash, the possible leakage of water from the bottom part of the connector (as shown in the photo on the left) is absolutely normal and it indicates that the valve is functioning correctly. Thanks to the internal valve, the SoWash connector guarantees a constant water jet output, optimal for the dental cleaning and never too strong and dangerous for your gums. |
